Context
The Curé watershed, located on the border of the Marais Poitevin in Charente-Maritime, is experiencing an imbalance in agricultural withdrawals that impacts the environment and other water uses. The good qualitative and quantitative status as defined by the SAGE must be achieved by 2027. The area has significant conflict surrounding water management issues. In 2021, the state services requested the establishment of a PTGE (Territorial Project for Water Management) to achieve the good status of water bodies.
38 organizations and a panel of 15 agricultural users are participating in and contributing to the PTGE
15 workshops over 18 months
A territory covering 690 km², encompassing the Aunis Atlantique and Aunis Sud intercommunal communities, as well as the La Rochelle urban community
Our mission
Lisode has been mandated to design a multi-stakeholder consultation strategy and facilitate the co-construction of the PTGE. In partnership with the consulting firm Envilys, Lisode conducted 42 interviews with all local stakeholders. Following the analysis of these interviews, Lisode proposed a consultation strategy and a composition of participant groups aimed at balancing represented interests and connecting actors with divergent postures and interests.
Impacts and results
Despite the tense context of the area, our intervention created the necessary conditions for the consultation to proceed effectively. The process adapted to local and national political events to promote connections and exchanges among the stakeholders in the area.
